Well, it’s finally here.
The official Bonnaroo 2014 lineup has been announced and it is as epic as we expected. Owning the top spots will be Sir Elton John, Kanye West (his first appearance at the festival since the infamous 2008 incident), Jack White, Lionel Richie, Vampire Weekend, The Avett Brothers, Phoenix, Skrillex, Arctic Monkeys and Frank Ocean.
The full lineup for Bonnaroo Music & Arts festival was announced yesterday via a simulcast super party called B.L.A.M. (Bonnaroo Lineup Announcement Megathon) hosted by comedians Hannibal Buress and SNL funnyman Taran Killam. Bonnaroo will also feature performances from The Flaming Lips, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Kaskade, Damon Albarn, Neutral Milk Hotel, Wiz Khalifa, Disclosure, Cut Copy, The Head and the Heart, Zedd, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Chromeo, Broken Bells, Tedeschi Trucks Band, James Blake, Bobby Womack, Umphrey’s McGee, Ice Cube, Ben Howard, amongst many more.
The festival will take place from June 12 – June 15 in Manchester, Tennessee at Great Stage Park. Tickets will be available on the Bonnaroo website this Saturday, Feb 22 at Noon EST. Get on it, people.
Additionally, iTunes announced yesterday that they will be hosting a free (yes!) iTunes Festival in coordination with SXSW from March 11 – March 15. The festival did so well in London, that they’re bringing it to the states. The concert series will include performances by Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Pitbull, ZEDD, Keith Urban, Willie Nelson and more.
2014 is truly a great year for music festivals with amazing lineups at Coachella, Governor’s Ball and Firefly. Let’s just hope all goes according to plan at Coachella this year, seeing as how there’s a (we’re guessing a future Oscar contender) film titled, “Coachella Massacre” starring the great Richard Grieco that will be coming out later this year…
