See Her Tonight
Summer Glau on Arrow
(9:00 PM EST, The CW)
The networks are mainly putting reruns up against the Olympics, but you know what the See Her Tonight column says: If you were too drunk to find the remote the first time a show aired, then it’s new to you. And tonight’s episode of Arrow is really important for catching up, since tonight’s episode is the one where Dr. Barry Allen is introduced into the CW/DC universe. That’s the character who’ll be the lead in the upcoming CW series about the super-speedy hero known as The Flash.
And if all that seems too geeky to care about, then maybe you don’t know enough about Summer Glau. She’s a true geek goddess–going back to her days as the fatal femme River Tam in the 2002 cult sci-fi series Firefly. (The series also got to fly into the multiplexes with 2005′s Serenity.). Summer settled into a recurring role on Arrow a few episodes ago, which didn’t surprise her fans. Summer really likes to spice up sci-fi series. She followed up Firefly with a role on the USA Network’s alien show The 400. Then she opened our eyes to the attractiveness of androids with some work as a sexy cyborg in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
Summer then spent more time going sensually sci-fi on Dollhouse, and had just as much luck with a bad (and quickly canceled) superhero series called The Cape. We’ve had pretty good luck with Arrow, thanks to super babes like Caity Lotz, Christie Laing, and Katie Cassidy. Now check out below for 35 good reasons to tune in tonight…
