Now that the Super Bowl is closing in on its opening kickoff, fans from both sides have been trying to one up each other in the race to provide the most spiritual support and inspiration for their team. It’s like a cheerleading competition but with more beer guts. [image via KING 5 News]
Fans of the Seattle Seahawks, however, may have just won the race with their latest stunt. Two Seahawks fans just became parents for the first time and according to the Huffington Post, they named their daughter in honor of their hometown team. The unidentified parents named their little girl “Cyndee Leigh 12th Mann”, the symbolic name for the fans who are on the field with his or her team in spirit. Beat that Denver! Good luck trying to find an unnamed baby and two parents who are crazy enough to name them “Jake Bron Coleman” or something as equally clever as that.
This isn’t the first time a pair of sports fans decided to honor their favorite team by giving them their first child’s name. Just recently, a pair of Alabama fans bestowed their daughter with the superhero-ish sounding name “Krimson Tyde”. A sports talk radio host in Cleveland, Ohio used her child as a plot to avenge her hometown by naming her baby after the Dallas Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki as revenge against ex-Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James for his defection to the Miami Heat.
“12th” is actually a pretty cool middle name and it would be more awesome if the little girl grew up to become a smoking hot Seahawks cheerleader–like these members of the NFL’s finest…
