Pro tennis glamazon Serena Williams is taking fans off the court and under her shirt in a new campaign for sports bras from lingerie company Berlei. Talk about a love match… and a perfect set… and a double volley… and quite a pair of racquets… and, um, do we need to keep going? We know that Serena Williams might not be to everyone’s taste. She didn’t even make last year’s Hottest Women of Wimbledon, but it’s hard to resist the double entendres.
Anyway, the world’s #1 ranked tennis player posed in an eye-popping parade of Berlei’s most bodacious upper anatomy apparel while Down Under for the 2014 Australian Open. Serena also boosted Berlei’s reinforced pontoon picker-uppers by saying, “It’s so super comfy, even when you’re working up a serious sweat.” In further praise, she called the bra “perfect for high impact activity”—which is exactly how we think of Serena herself.
Berlei is just the latest in a series of endorsements for Serena, but it’s definitely our favorite. Yes, we know that Gatorade, Nike, and Wilson are great, but they hardly lend themselves to promos that start and end with Serena stripping her clothes off.
Serena and enticing apparel (and/or lack thereof) actually enjoy a long and storied history together. For some time, the brickhouse-built backhander has been reliable for devastating serves of her sumptuous physique. Step up to the line. Grip your racket.
