See Her Tonight
Maggie Q on Nikita
(9:00 PM EST, The CW)
It’s a sad night as the See Her Tonight column (along with the rest of the world) says goodbye to Nikita–which ends tonights with an episode called “Canceled.” The she-spy show gave us plenty of lookers to spy on over its quick three seasons. We did high-tech surveillance on the likes of Helena Mattson, Lena Shekhovtsova, and Katheryn Winnick–not to mention series regular Lyndsy Fonseca.
But as the series officially wraps up–with the title character on one last suicidal bid to shut down an evil underground spy ring–let’s salute series star Maggie Q. The hot gal with a stylized name was a huge star in Asian cinema, and then made it to the American multiplexes in hits like Rush Hour 2 and Mission: Impossible III. Hollywood could have fumbled the ball with her, but Nikita was there to provide a proper starring showcase for the former model.
(That reminds us that Nikita is, of course, a rebooting of a hit basic-cable show from the ’90s, and it’s never a bad idea to check out original star Peta Wilson.)
Maggie managed to maintain some big-screen action during the Nikita years, although the action film Priest bombed as a post-apocalyptic vampire saga. She’s in the upcoming Divergent, though, which is getting some hype as the potential next big thing in teen outsider fantasies. It’ll be easy enough to follow Maggie’s career via Twitter. For now, though, let’s look back at Maggie looking fashionably hot before tuning in to say goodbye tonight…
