Today Google released their “2013 Zeitgeist,” or their list of the searches from the past year (not to be confused with our Most Popular Women on the Web According to Google). If you’ve got the time to explore the whole page, we definitely suggest checking it out. In our opinion, the Google Zeitgeist is one of the coolest things that gets released on the web.

The problem is in the navigation of the site.

Zeitgeist

Google is notorious for keeping their cards close to their chest, so it should come as no surprise that the one time of year they actually give away data, things are a little murky. For example, why don’t they just include an outright list for the Top 100 Searches in the world? As you see in the screenshot above, they’ve just created a bunch of thumbnails that have been jumbled up (link here).

No worries, COED interns to the rescue. We set our little guys to work organizing the very disorganized Top 100 searches into a list format for you below.

Please note that–for some reason–a lot of the Top 10 search terms for people, events, etc. don’t actually wind up in the Top 100 searches. For example, Miley Cyrus is on Google’s list of the 10 Most Searched People, but is nowhere to be found on their Top 100 Searches…
