The last time we saw Jesse Pinkman on Breaking Bad he was speeding off putting as much distance between himself and his meth lab prison cell as he could. Well, it looks like Aaron Paul built up a real Need for Speed since getting out of Heisenberg’s shadow.
DreamWorks unleashed a second revved up trailer for the upcoming movie Need for Speed as it races to theaters and it’s no slow burn. Directed by Scott Waugh, Need for Speed stars Aaron Paul as Tobey, a guy fresh out of stir and crazy to catch up with the guy who put him there two years ago. Dominic Cooper plays that guy. In the world these guys live in, “you always go back.” It looks like somebody got left behind and Tobey did two years for it.
Out on the street Tobey hits the fast lane running. His racing buddies throw him a getting out party and he’s off to clip some wings. But first he needs a fast car. Racing’s an art and these guys aren’t just spray painting some heap. They build a machine that can fly over bridges in a single bound and it looks like it runs on fire. Tobey Marshall is driving the chariot of the gods on his way to collect this long overdue debt. The only thing that might slow him down is a $6 million stop order and an APB in seven states.
Need for Speed is the first thing Paul’s done since Breaking Bad shut down. It also stars Imogen Poots, Michael Keaton and Dakota Johnson also star. It opens next March, so there’s no need to rush.
