On November 17, 1991 the first condom commercial aired on U.S. television during the FOX show Herman’s Head. That might not seem like a big deal now, but it was back then. In 1991, there was still plenty of panic over the AIDS crisis, and many people stupidly thought that a commercial for condoms had no place on television. That commercial and many of the ones that came after it focused on condoms’ ability to prevent disease. That was the main focus of most condom commercials until the mid nineties when media coverage of the AIDS pandemic began to decline. Since then, most condom commercials have become more humorous. On the condom commercial’s 22nd anniversary, we’ve found some of the funniest commercials from around the world. Enjoy and remember to wrap it up.
Magnum condoms are big enough to have more than one use. It’s kind of insulting to the guy in the commercial that the masseuse thought he was too gross to even touch with her bare hands.
When buying a home, you have to make sure to check everything before you buy it. You don’t want to end up with a bedroom that doesn’t echo your moans the way that you like.
This commercial would probably piss a lot of people off, but it’s a good combination of funny and scary. You should really think about condoms any time you see a wailing child.
Here’s another insensitive but still funny commercial. This makes you realize that the kid from your elementary school who always hung out with the girls was probably just way smarter than you.
This commercial from Argentina shows what to do if your girlfriend’s dad comes home unexpectedly. Hopefully you’ve bought one of those flavored condoms.
