Last night, basketball fans of all ages got the chance to watch Andrew Wiggins and Jabari Parker (the #1 and #2 overall draft prospects, respectively) play each other in Chicago. The Kansas Jayhawks and Wiggins wound up getting the W but not before Jabari Parker hit an incredible layup which Stephen Douglas of the Big Lead dubbed a “1-on-Kansas” lay-up. See below. Yes, he starts taking his steps at the three-point line. Yes, he takes a total of four steps before he hits the layup. But this student-athlete is headed for the NBA where for better or worse referees are sure to look past that little thing called traveling.
Jabari Parker wound up with 27 points, 9 points, 1 assist, and two steals. In terms of individual performance Jabari outshined Wiggins (who had 22 points, 8 points and one block) but everyone knows it’s all about getting the W… A W which was slammed home by Andrew Wiggins.
