Nachos are a in a special class of food all their own. Are they a snack, a side or some sort of Mexican-alien hybrid? No one really knows or cares to put them in a box because they are absolutely delicious. You might be surprised to find out there are a countless amount of ways to prepare the native Mexican dish.
In honor of National Nachos Day, we present you with some unconventionally tasty recipes that will help honor them the only way we know how – by the fistful. Note: We are not responsible if you accidentally burn down your apartment.
Here a basic recipe I got from the Food Network:
Spread 8 cups of chips on a rimmed baking sheet or in a shallow dish. Add cheese and other toppings, then bake at 475 degrees F in the upper third of the oven until cheese is melted, about 7 minutes.
Check out some variations below and let the good times roll.
