Somehow, some way, Ubisoft manages to not only crank out an incredibly deep and well-written Assassin’s Creed game every year but change up the formula to an astounding degree. Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which takes to the high seas to let you live out the grimy, booze-mongering life of a pirate, adds water to the conspiracy-laden, historical fiction saga. Also popping up are a bunch of spandex-wearing world savers, including the Caped Crusader in Batman: Arkham Origins and the Marvel squad in Lego Marvel Superheroes. Over in movie land, the Pixar showstopper Monsters University is out as well as Ghostbusters wannabe R.I.P.D.
