Buy a cup of coffee for a friend or stranger, and you will get a free order. Make sense? Absolutely not! But whatever, here are the details for you caffeinated junkies:
Starting today and lasting through Friday, Starbucks is offering a free tall brewed coffee to any customer who purchases a beverage for another customer. In a press release, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced the offer in light of the “hardships, stresses and strains” that folks are experiencing during this stretch of economic unease. “I believe you will agree that this is a different yet authentic way Starbucks can help our fellow citizens to Come Together by supporting one another during a particularly challenging time,” Schultz wrote, “while continuing to make Starbucks stores a place of respite and comfort for millions of customers.”
So technically the only person that gets a “free” coffee is the first one who gets it purchased for them. At least someone gets something for free! Still though, pass it on. People helping people and getting others caffeinated to get through the day is always delightful for mankind.
