You know you’re having a good week when your song takes “Blurred Lines” out of the No. 1 spot on the Billboard music chart.
Katy Perry’s single “Roar” just knocked Robin Thicke down a peg after sitting at the No. 2 spot for a couple weeks. As if that wasn’t enough, she just released the music video on YouTube, and it’s already been watched over 14 million times. A video of a cat twerking on a pug probably couldn’t even get that many views.
The video tells the story of a woman whose plane crashes in the jungle and is forced to fend for herself after a tiger brutally mauls the only other survivor. It sure looks bleak for Perry, but eventually she learns how to hunt bananas with a makeshift spear and teaches an elephant to give her a shower. She also finds the time to fashion a grass skirt and leopard skin bra, which we’re very thankful for.
