Koni Dole’s literally snapped in half during Huntley Project’s final game of the 2012 Montana high school football season. But the now senior lineman never gave up.

When infection set in after surgery, Dole opted for amputation as a better option to continue his athletic pursuits, which means he has a larger set of steel balls than most men in human history. After competing in wrestling and track last spring, he’s back on the football field with a prosthetic blade.

Not many athletes get a second chance after losing a limb, but it’s absolutely great and inspirational to see a man like Koni get another shot at his dreams.
