Fox Sports 1, the brand-new 24/7 sports channel we’ve all been waiting for, is all set to debut this Saturday. They’re taking direct aim at ESPN (which has been having more than their share of issues lately) but rather than shoving the words of Stuart Scott and Skip Bayless down your throat, Fox Sports 1 realized that people would much rather listen to ladies like Julie Stewart-Binks, Erin Andrews, and (the formerly of Guyism) Katie Nolan.
In addition to all your live sports coverage and news, Fox Sports One is also offering some great sports-related original programming. One show that we’re particularly excited for is this season of Ultimate Fighter which just made the move from FX to FSO. This season, viewers can expect to see coaches Ronda Rousey and Mischa Tate trading blows with each other.
Show:The Crowd Goes Wild | When : Monday-Friday @ 5 PM EST
Given her growing fan base, it should come as no surprise that Fox Sports One swept up Katie Nolan from her gig over at Guyism where she would give viewers a video rundown of some of the world’s fun news formely known as “Speed Round.” We’re excited to see her on the brand new show The Crowd Goes Wild, Fox Sports One’s “discussion and analysis” show.
Joining Katie and Regis Philbin as a correspondant on The Crowd Goes Wild is Georgie Thompson, a woman who’s accent (and face) are hard to forget. She’ll be adding a bit of color with her experience as an English sports broadcaster for events like The US Open and Sky Sports News.
Show:Fox Sports Live | When: All Week (Varying but around 10:30 PM EST)
Charissa returns to Fox after making her way through Versus, GSN, the Big Ten Network and ESPN. She will be the primary host for the opinion and analysis sections of Fox Sports One’s flagship program Fox Sports Live.
Show:Fox College Saturday | When: Saturdays @ 10 AM EST
At this point in her career, everyone knows Erin Andrews. Having famously ditched ESPN for Fox Sports a year ago, Erin will play a prominent (if not figurehead) role in the brand new sports network. She’ll be doing what she does best, covering college football every weekend.
Show:Fox Soccer Daily | When: Mondays/Thursdays @ 4 PM EST
Ronda Rousey’s been covered on our site many times but we cannot stress enough how much she’s taking the world by storm. Arguably the most popular athlete in a still-growing sport, Ronda will try her hand at coaching fighters in this season of UFC’s Ultimate Fighter.
Show:The Ultimate Fighter | When: Wednesdays @ 10 PM EST
If you don’t know much about MMA fighting, the first time you heard Miesha Tate’s name was probably after she posed for the ESPN Body Issue. Don’t get it twisted though, Miesha’s a fiesty fighter and hopes that her tenacity in the ring will help her team beat Ronda’s in the 16th season of The Ultimate Fighter.
