Hot 97’s SummerJam was the place to be if you’re a fan of rap, R&B, or hip hop culture. Hopefully more than some of you made it to Metlife Stadium to see the 20th Anniversary Show in person, but thankfully I know that a good deal of you watched the live stream on our page.

Did any of the thousands watching happen to #findMissCOED¬†Alisha Louise backstage? If you did, send us a screenshot or a photo of her on Twitter to @COEDMagazine (she’s hard to miss).

Anyways, while we were waiting for Alisha to finish up backstage with the artists, the guys headed to the Festival Stage area to watch the likes of Action Bronson and A$AP Ferg.

In between sets, I headed over to the Marines.com tent to check out their Warrior Challenge. 3 stages (pull ups, push ups, and apple jacks), 60 seconds for each. You can see the photos in the recap at the bottom, but needless to say I couldn’t hang with the professionals. Those guys are in great shape. I walked away with a sweat and a serious need of water.

WHICH I FOUND IN OUR SUITE! But that’s neither here nor there.

The real highlights of the show included a very questionable Lil Kim, Miguel’s entire set, Chris Brown’s set (I’m kicking myself for saying that), and the Wu Tang Clan. I’m not entirely sure why they saved French Montana for last (except that he was able to bring out Lil Wayne and Rick Ross), but thankfully that’s not my job.\

My job was to take fun photos and recap the event for you, so that’s what I’m going to do. Check out the photos below.

Special thanks to the great folks at Loud, Hot 97, and our good friend Miss COED Alisha Louise.
