‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Writer Admits Alice Eve Probably Didn’t Have To Strip Down To Lingerie
Who are we to question his motives in the first place?
Co-writer/producer, Damon Lindelof, sent out a series of Tweets explaining that Alice Eve appearing in lingerie during a scene in Star Trek Into Darkness was absolutely non-essential to the plot.
According to Yahoo!, Lindelof Tweeted:
I copped to the fact that we should have done a better job of not being gratuitous in our representation of a barely clothed actress. We also had Kirk shirtless in underpants in both movies. Do not want to make light of something that some construe as mysogenistic. What I’m saying is I hear you, I take responsibility and will be more mindful in the future.
Other than the fact Lindelof is a millionaire writer of movies and the TV hit Lost and I am a lonely broke blogger who can still correctly spell misogynistic, is he out of his mind? Of course people want to see Alice Eve unexpectedly in lingerie for no reason. It should be a crime for her to be wearing clothing in general. Take her shirt and give it to Captain Kirk, warp speed.
We gave Miss Eve the GIF treatment and if you don’t want to see her with the least garments on as possible then you’re not a cold blooded American.
