The New York Jets picked Heisman candidate Geno Smith with the 39th pick of the NFL Draft this week.
This of course will be the second straight year that the Jets try to light a fire under Mark Sanchez’s embarrassment of an ass. Last year, they brought Tim Tebow into the fold, only to get the mediocre-est performance out of either player. This year, they hope to break even or win on Smith, who, for all the criticism, doesn’t know how to throw an interception the way Sanchez does.
The preseason’s going to be amazing, and we expect Smith to be the starter by Week 1. However, we’d like to see some more swagger out of Smith, and we need to hear soundbites like these:
