Easter is one of the holiest days on the Christian calendar, which may make it seem odd that blogger Michael Procopio of the aptly named site Food for the Thoughtless came up with the idea of crucifixion corn dogs.
But as he explains, “With the Catholic church suffering a loss in attendance, even at Easter time, drastic measures should be taken to reverse the decline.”
Just don’t say your trying to “lure children into the church.”
Instead, say you’re “making church fun.” By, you know, eating your lord and savior during his greatest time of peril.
You can find Procopio’s recipe here. Dab on a little bit of syrup of ipecac before serving if you want to see your Jesus “rise from the dead.”
