Bill Watterson, creator of Calvin and Hobbes, was legendary for refusing to commercialize his strip. Part of that was an unwillingness to ever animate the series.

But we live in modern times now and extremely talented fans have access to an extraordinary amount of technology.

So animator Adam Brown gave it a shot.

No word on if Bill Watterson is rolling over in his grave.

Actually, breaking news, Bill Watterson is still alive.

He’s also legendarily reclusive.
