It’s been confusing people since the classic video game was released by Nintendo way back in 1986: am I playing as Zelda or am I saving Zelda?

Obviously, in the ensuing three decades, everyone has come to understand that the point of Legend of Zelda is for our hero, Link, to save the princess, Zelda. But also over the course of nearly 30 years, you’d think someone would have created this hack before…

Thanks to one “Kenna K,” players can now play as Zelda and save (that always suspiciously wussy for a hero) Link.

Everything you need to try out the hack can be found on Kenna’s blog.

Outside of the novelty, I’m not sure what the benefits of once again saving Hyrule with the princess are other than finally proving that not only are princesses equal to elf-boys, but that your life as an adult is about as equally useless as it was when you were a child.
