5 Alternatives To Google Reader You Should Start Using Now

When Google announced that they were trashing Reader, I felt my heart get heavy. With exception to Reddit, Google Reader was my number one source for news. Blogs are up in arms because Google Reader was a great way to find content to steal and users are pissed because it was a great way to read posts without actually visiting their favorite sites.

Unsurprisingly, people have taken to signing a petition. Since Google makes a living on data mining, they’re probably at least somewhat aware of how much use the Reader gets.

So instead of signing a pointless petition, we suggest that you buck up and start making the switch sooner rather than 11:59 PM on June 30th. Export your RSS feeds on Google Takeout here then get to picking your new surfing companion here.
