New Technology Projects Billiard Shots Right Onto The Table [VIDEO]

Playing pool is so easy on your smartphone. You just line up your shot based on a few imaginary lines on the table and shoot away.

Well, some guys over at University of the Algarve, Portugal want to bring that technology to actual games of billiards (or as they’re calling it, snooker).

As you can see in this short clip, their “PoolLiveAid” project is able to detect balls and the angles certain shots should go based on the position of the shooter.

And that’s about all we know. Not much other information has surfaced.

But hey, if what we’re seeing is to be believed, in the near future, yes, pool will be as boring in person as it is playing it on your smartphone. Go technology!
