Wizards Announcer Goes Crazy for a Buzzer Beater Shot That Never Happened [VIDEO]

Sports announcers have a pretty easy job. They earn a check by watching a game and basically telling people watching what’s going on in case they suddenly go blind or forgot what sport they are watching.

Announcer Steve Buckhantz may call games for a living but his gig certainly doesn’t make most sports fans green with envy: he calls games for the Washington Wizards. That’s like being a photographer for Playboy and only being allowed to shoot Kathy Bates’ pictorials.

He probably doesn’t get to call a lot of action packed moments so I can understand his eager excitement over witnessing the Wizards’ Trevor Ariza sink a buzzer beating three point shot. Unfortunately, Ariza didn’t even hit the rim.

Naturally, the embarrassing moment made its way to YouTube, the place where all of life’s embarrassing moments eventually end up for the world to dig up and enjoy. It’s the virtual landfill of your repressed memories.
