Mike likes 70s music. Wyatt has more modern tastes. Both of these COED editors think they have what it takes to kick off your Saturday night.

Mike’s Pick

So in the intro to this post, it says that I like 70s music. But I shouldn’t because, as a child, I was warned. I was warned by two very well respected musicians: Mike Watt and Eddie Vedder. In 1995, they released a song called “Against the 70s” that told us, “The kids of today should defend themselves against the 70s.” It’s advice that holds true to this day. And it’s a fun rock song for a Saturday night too.

Wyatt’s Pick

Rudimental is here to save the drum and bass genre. Not that d’n'b really need saving, but you can’t help but feel these guys and the overwhelming sense of beat growth and development. This song just debuted yesterday on Zach Lowe’s BBC Radio One show this week and their album comes out later this month. They’re touring the United States right now and I plan on seeing them live at Santos Party House 3/18.
