When breaking news happens, the Gawker network is there! First, Deadspin nails the Manti T’eo story. Now, Gizmodo is going after their own stoke of journalism genius: Can you eat your own poop? [Image via Shutterstock.]
All kidding aside, I’m actually way more interested in the answer to this poop question than I am in learning about some loser’s fake girlfriend.
And truth is, I was excited to hear the answer either way, but became much more excited when the answer turned out to be…
Wait for it…
It’s fine! Eat all of your own poop you want!
Gizmodo spoke to four different experts, including doctors and a nutrition scientist, and this was their final verdict:
“Assuming you are a healthy person, eating your own poop would probably not harm you. Eating someone else’s poop could make you sick if they were unhealthy, but eating poop from the right person could cure your diarrheal disease.”
But before you go and eat your own poo, I’d suggest maybe checking out the article yourself to get all the details.
My father always told me, “Before you eat your own sh*t, do your research!”
