As is always the case, the end of a year brings out a slew of “Best [Insert Title Here] Of The Year” posts. Admittedly, we’re one of the offenders (shameless plug for Best Viral Videos and Best Movies). The only catch is that when it comes to making yearly round-ups, editorial decisions have be made. It’s someone’s job to decide which “women fails” of 2012 deserve to be included on the “Best Women Fails of 2012” video. [lead image via Shutterstock]
But the lack of an overpowering voice on Reddit /music‘s annual “Top Albums of the Year” post is part of what makes the list so legit. Everyone’s say is equal to another’s. If you like an album that you see on the list, you can upvote it. On the flip side, if you’re a hater, you’re allowed to downvote an album. Pretty simple.
While you’re streaming all the albums (via Spotify links I included because I love you) on the list, check out how dominant rap/R&B was this year. Do you think that’s more telling of how strong the genre was this year overall, or more in the taste of the Redditors in /music?
