Around New York City, “ten dollars a foot” seems to be the going rate for buying Christmas trees. And if you’re a recent college student or a practicing alcoholic like me, spending $30 for a tree I’m going to throw out in a few weeks is not the best investment.

Instead, we suggest that you go green and save money at the same time by recycling your used beer bottles into Christmas trees.

And forget decorating a Christmas tree, if you’re really trying to get into the holiday spirit you can always sit around with your friends building one.
