The 35 Best Photos To Come From Russia In 2012

If you couldn’t already tell from all the dashboard cams and adrenaline junkies that we’ve seen this year, Russia in 2012 was filled with some pretty interesting stories.

Best of Russia, a photo project started back in 2008, aims to highlight as many of these stories as possible by holding an annual competition. According to the Conditions of Participation found on the site, any citizen of Russia (amateur or professional) can submit up to five photos as long as the works were taken in Russia. Once the photos are moderated, it’s up to the site’s visitors to vote on their favorite photos.

The “Winners” gallery features a grand total of 276 photos, but these are our 35 personal favorites. Check them below.
