Every Single Winner Of Time Magazine’s ‘Person Of Year’ Since 1927 [PHOTOS]

As I’m sure most of you have heard by now, President Barack Obama has won the “Person of the Year” award from Time Magazine. Time Editor Richard Engle writes, “For finding and forging a new majority, for turning weakness into opportunity and for seeking, amid great adversity, to create a more perfect union, Barack Obama is TIME’s 2012 Person of the Year.”

2012 marks the 85th year that the award was given, and the second time that Obama has won (first was 2008).

A lot of critics are saying that Obama only won because of a lack of competition, but it only takes one look at the previous winners to understand why he was a safe bet. Since 1964, there have been 14 US Presidential Election years and the “PotY” winner has been a President 9 times. Of course, if you had seen our gallery below, you would have already known this.
