GIF-ITI 15

UK-based artist INSA has been doing these GIF-ITI pieces for years now, but he’s once again come to the public’s attention with the piece above that was commissioned to celebrate the upcoming release of the album AMOK by Atoms For Peace — the supergroup (if you will) featuring Thom Yorke, Flea, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker (of Beck & R.E.M) and Mauro Refosco (shrug).

All that said, if you haven’t seen INSA’s work, it’s amazing and now is as good a time as any to check it all out. The GIF-ITI is created by painting a wall, photographing it, repainting, rephotographing and repeating until the project is done. It seems like an amazingly time-consuming process, but the results are worth it.

See a bunch more examples of GIF-ITI below and then head over to Insa’s shop and buy a bunch of stuff before it all sells out. Most of his stuff is sold out already. You’re missing your chance to be a fine art collector!! That was your dream!
