Samuel L. Jackson Wants To Be In New ‘Star Wars’ Movies Even Though His Character Is Dead

One of the few high points of Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (a number we can count on one hand) was learning that Samuel L. Jackson was part of the cast. Every time his screaming face is in a movie, we know we’re in for a good time. It’s like watching the fuse on a keg of dynamite slowly reach its final destination. You’re not sure when it’s going to blow, but when it does, it’s going to be epic.
The new Star Wars movies, now under the control of the Walt Disney empire, are moving forward. Jackson, who played Mace Windu in the first three films, made no reservations about yelling his hope that he’ll get to be in the new movies to a spittle covered E! reporter at Spike’s Video Game Awards.
Of course, that might be a bit of a challenge since his character was killed in Revenge Of The Sith — or so we thought. Jackson said he’d be happy coming back as the character’s ghost or a one-armed Windu who somehow survived falling from a window located just above the planet’s atmosphere. We’d certainly welcome such a move. It would be twice as awesome if Disney could somehow work some snakes into the plot as well.
