12 Photos From Inside An Amazon Warehouse Shows Just How Big They Really Are

Amazon calls their 80 warehouses “fulfillment centers” but after you see these photos taken from the inside, you’ll be calling them “enormous.”

Some figures estimate that the size of these warehouses (because I refuse to call them “fulfillment centers”) reach over 1 million square feet. That’s a whole lotta iPad Minis and grilled cheese toaster sleeves.

At the moment, Amazon still uses humans to sort out their massive warehouses but they did buy a company called Kiva Systems in 2007 to help automate the nonsense. The video on this page is well worth a watch. As Skynet comes closer into existence, these are the same robots that will likely carry away our corpses.

Who knew that a post on Amazon fulfillment centers could take such an unexpected and morbid turn?
