Mike likes 70s music.

Wyatt has more modern tastes.

Mike’s Pick

Jeff Lynne is the mastermind behind some of the biggest hits of in rock history, revitalizing the careers of superstars like Tom Petty and Roy Orbison, not to mention working with every surviving member of The Beatles. But it largest cannon of work comes with Electric Light Orchestra. A number of ELO songs are great to get an evening started, but “Turn to Stone” is about as upbeat as they come.

Wyatt’s Pick

“Back II Life (Remix By The Rules)” is probably as deep as I’m going to get in terms of house music but I just couldn’t resist posting this re-imagining of one of the best pop songs from a UK group in the late 80′s. It reminds of a much simpler time when not every electronic song had a drop or wobble; a time that I unfortunately was too young to remember. Be warned, this song will creep up on you.
