In a harrowing twist of fate for Call of Duty fans everywhere, the fan favorite Nuketown 2025 pre-order DLC bonus map has mysteriously disappeared from every Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer playlist worldwide. The gaming world has held up a collective middle finger Call of Duty developer Activision & their subsidiary Treyarch.

Quickly after it disappeared, Treyarch employee and Black Ops 2 Game Design Director David Vonderhaar issued the following tweets:

Considering that Treyarch marketed Black Ops 2 under the assumption that those who pre-ordered the game would get access to the exclusive map whenever they wanted to play it, this feels like a dirty trick. In fact, on launch day, it was in a separate multiplayer playlist for those who downloaded it. It’s disappearance is disheartening considering after announcing the pre-order bonus, Black Ops 2 was pre-ordered almost 30% more than the previous Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 3.

Suffice to say, many fans are VERY angry about the loss of the Nuketown 2025 map, and proceed to voice their opinions towards Vonderhaar via Twitter. Here are some of our favorite moments of rage and confusion so far:

What do you think fellow Black Ops 2 players? Is this a travesty? Should we protest by not playing? Will we ever get Nuketown 2025 back?
