Formula One racing finally returns to the United States this weekend, the first time in 22 years. The event is being hosted in Austin, Texas at Circuit of the Americas, a brand-new multi-purpose facility that plans on hosting at least one race F1 race for the next 10 years. This is good news because A) dangerous fast cars are fun and B) America can never have enough sports.

It also shouldn’t be ignored that with Formula 1 racing come the grid girls–beautiful models who are employed to hold umbrellas over the drivers so that they don’t get too hot.

Yes that is a real job. And yes they’re essentially just eye candy. Beautiful, amazing eye candy.
