The Three ‘Knockouts’ You Can Expect To See In Georges St-Pierre’s Return To UFC 154 [VIDEO + PHOTOS]
UFC fans are foaming at the bit to see the return of Georges St-Pierre this weekend as he takes on Carlos Condit for UFC 154 (November 17th, 10 PM EST). Why is that? It’s because this match going to be the first time in 18 months since GSP has fought (ACL surgery has kept him out of the Octagon); it’s because he’ll be fighting in Montreal in front of his fellow French-Canadians; it’s because it marks the return of the first “real” contender to Anderson Silva; and most importantly, it’s because he’s one of the most exciting Welterweights to ever fight.
So what can you expect to see? Most likely a brutal “knockout” in the form of submissions–GSP is a tap-out machine.
This is the arm-bar that effectively ended the era of Matt Hughes. If GSP wants to beat Condit, he’ll likely have to rely on his submissions. To this date, Condit has never been beaten by strikes.
But don’t for one second think that “Georges St-Pimp” (relevant link here) is incapable of laying an old-school beat down on his opponents. Check out this grisly series of knees he delivers to Matt Sera.
Ouch. Just Ouch. Just watching this makes my kidneys feel like I’ve been on a massive bender.
Third type of knockout you can expect to see at UFC 154 is a little easier on the eyes. I’m referring to Arianny Celeste, Brittney Palmer, and Rachelle Leah aka the Octagon Girls.
