The world has seen many great inventions — the light bulb by Thomas Edison, the internet by Al Gore, the universe by science — but most of these must bow down before the taco cannon.

Created by Torchy’s Tacos in Austin, Texas, the cannon “shoots off three tacos in rapid succession” and “can shoot tacos around 200 feet if the wind conditions are ideal” according to an article in The Daily Texan.

It’s further described as “a 12-chambered T-shirt cannon, redesigned to project delectable tacos” meaning “12 barrels in each round, so 36 shots total per round.”

It’s an awesome accomplishment, but possibly not as awesome as their next project, the “Taco-Copter” — a taco distributing helicopter.

Obviously, we’ll keep you updated on that one.
