146 Rarely Seen Photos Of The Early Beatles for John Lennon’s 72nd Birthday

You don’t have to be a fan of the Beatles to appreciate their contribution to music as whole. The Gray Album? Probably like my top 20 albums of March 2004. But in all seriousness, as is too often the case with rock stars, John Lennon (the most controversial and arguably most influential member of the band) is no longer with us. Today, October 9th would have been his 72nd birthday.

Due to the Beatles’ success, his later life was well documented. These photos, however, aren’t all that common. Check them out in the gallery below.
