Restaurant In Kentucky Shut Down After Roadkill Was Found In The Kitchen …But At Least It Was Only A Deer, Right? [VIDEO]

Guys, did you even watch the video above? The owners said, “They didn’t know they weren’t allowed to do that.”  This isn’t a story about a restaurant preparing to serve fresh roadkill to their customers; it’s about educating restaurants that they can’t serve fresh roadkill to their customers.

Oh, and then did you keep watching? Because next they say that they planned on taking the deer home, not serving it. Which, I think, you know, this is America, and if people want to eat roadkill on their own time, that should be their God-given right and who cares if they’re butchering that roadkill in their own kitchen or the kitchen of their restaurant, you know? Sounds to me like this is big government once again trying to stifle a small business owner.

Now where things get weird is when the news anchor ends the report by saying they contacted the owners themselves but weren’t able to find out any additional information because of a language barrier. Which seems pretty shady because it sounds like the owners were singing like a bird to Environmental Health Inspector Paul Lawson!

Anyway, you constantly hear people wanting to eat fresh and eat local, but then they’re complaining about this? Crazy. The whole thing is nuts.
