We get it: driving in Russia is nuts. It seems like every day some new crazy Russian driving video hits the Internet.

The big question for me has always been “Why do new crazy Russian driving videos always hit the Internet?” Why do these people all have dashboard cams?

Reddit to the rescue. One commenter writes, “In Russia, due to the prevalence of insurance fraud, some drivers choose to install cameras in order to avoid being scammed.”

Holy sh*t. Did I just learn something from a commenter? Yes, I did. I learned that we should all give a giant “Thank you” to people who commit insurance fraud.

You should all go do the Internet a favor and go commit insurance fraud right now.
