Is This Mario Warfare Movie The Real Deal? [VIDEO]

I’m hoping that the answer is a resounding “Yes.” Obviously a play on the Modern Warfare titles and a certain princess-saving-plumber, this idea actually has weird enough legs to work. Bowser and his samurai sword-wielding Shy Guys have invaded the Mushroom Kingdom and it’s come down to just a few characters to save the world. You’ve gotta love the alternate spin that Christopher G. Moore and Micah Moore have put on the game.

The only problem is how real is this thing? I can’t tell you how many videos reference a “trailer” without actually being released. The good news is that before this trailer was posted to YouTube, user beatdownboogie had previously uploaded a few other movies referencing Mario Warfare. Here’s to keeping our fingers crossed. At least this short clip is more enjoyable than that other Mario movie.
