It’s a shock to lose Donna Summer right after the death of soul man Chuck Brown. They were both incredibly influential icons of dance music. Don’t dismiss Donna as a mere disco queen, though. A lot of important musicians discovered the sound of the future thanks to her work with producer Giorgio Moroder. He had the vision, but Donna was the voice of an exciting new sound–and it got even more exciting when she simulated orgasms throughout the 1975 hit “Love to Love You Baby.” You can count over 20 different climaxes during the original 17-minute extended dance track. Donna would survive the stigma of the disco era, but there’s nothing wrong with saluting Summers by looking back to her hot and heavy heyday. So here’s the epic version of “Love to Love You Baby,” and we know it’s no last dance…
