Van Halen is back–and we’re thrilled to report that all the members are still under 60! You might have heard otherwise, but ignore the haters. Alex Van Halen is turning a mere 59 years old today. Anyone rocking out to Van Halen on this year’s tour can also assure you that Alex keeps banging away like a young man. We mean, banging on the drums. We don’t know anything about what’s going on backstage. What we can tell you is that today is also the birthday of Talking Heads (and Tom Tom Club) drummer Chris Frantz, and also the birthday of the guy who played drums for Frankie Goes to Hollywood, but we wanna rock hard here at COED! Even if it is with a guy who’s turning 60 next year. Check out the swinging sound of Alex today:
