Finger-Sized Avengers Kick Cuticles!

The Avengers just blasted into theaters last night. In case you’re Amish, or live on a desert island, the movie has assembled Marvel’s favorite superheroes – from Iron Man to Captain America. (What a mighty goddamn superhero dream team!) Legions of eager fans waited in anticipation of the premiere. According to EW:

Starting at about 11:30 a.m., fans who paid $40 for tickets, got to see five Marvel films as part of the Ultimate Marvel Marathon, a 13-hour event taking place at 10 AMC theaters across the country that lead up to the midnight premiere.

Rabid fans adopted the garb of Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America. Maybe a more subtle, hands-on fandom approach could have been taken?

Artist Tamara Maynes has designed Hero Fingers: finger-sized superhero costumes designed for your, well, fingers. Unfortunately, you wont find Iron Man and The Hulk in this crop of digit-guises. (But these faux-finger-heroes are enough to make this writer laugh.) Photographer Julian Wolkenstein captured these miniature superhero in all their tiny glory.
