To an American, March 3rd might seem like just any other day; in Japan, it’s a totally different story. An unofficial holiday known as Hinamatsuri, or “Doll Festival” is celebrated today and it’s a way for the Japanese to pray for and celebrate the women in their family. Granted it’s not a national holiday, but here at COED we thought we’d celebrate Japanese women and all they have to offer.
