On Sept. 20, 1973, Billie Jean King defeated Bobby Riggs in straight sets 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 in a $100,000 winner-take-all “Battle of the Sexes” tennis match. We applaud Bobby for letting the weaker sex take one for once. Though we’ve made great strides as a society to level the playing field, many still believe women get the raw end of the stick (which some actually enjoy after a couple cocktails). Truth is you watch a show like Mad Men and you forget that was a way of life way back when. Nowhere has sexism been more prevalent than in advertising, so we thought we’d flip the bird to the politically correct and showcase some of the most hilarious sexist ads we could find.
