34 Totally Awesome ’80s & ’90s Sports Posters [PHOTOS]

The Costacos Brothers shot and produced “fantasy” sports posters that gave pro athletes a larger-than-life look and appeal. Since they didn’t have a license from any of the leagues, they were unable to produce game action shots. Instead, they made personality posters that turned the players into comic book heroes and Hollywood action stars. To celebrate their new exhibit “For the Kids” at Salon 94 Freemans, we’ve gathered some of their best work along with other kitschy sports posters from the ’80s & ’90s, and beyond. Check ‘em out below.
For more info on the exhibit, call (212) 529-7400 or email info@salon94.com.
