Two-time Oscar winner and five-time Oscar nominee Elizabeth Taylor died Wednesday in Los Angeles of congestive heart failure at the age of 79. She was known for being beautiful, wicked, and courageous – gaining just as much attention for her personal life as her professional one. She got hitched 8 times, caused the collapse of a couple others, battled illnesses, substance abuse, and led the fight against AIDS. Her salary for the 1963 film “Cleopatra” was an unprecedented $1 million (which is like $300 billion today).
