Since its inaugural year in 2001, AskMen’s rankings of the “Top 99 Most Desirable Women” features female stars their readers favor the most based upon attributes men want in a companion. After more than 5 million votes, their 10th annual list revealed a blend of fresh, new faces along with seasoned veterans like Gisele Bundchen and Angelina Jolie who’ve made it onto all 10 editions. Beyoncé emerged as “Woman of the Decade” by ranking high on the list nine times, making it to No. 1 in 2007.
Here’s a rundown of interesting notes from this year’s list:
- Actresses best known for their roles on television dominated over their movie star counterparts, with two of the top three spots on the 2011 list claimed by boob tubers.
- Kate Beckinsale and Eva Mendes both dropped out of the top 10 ranking for the first time in three years.
- Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who has replaced Megan Fox in the upcoming Transformers 3, is among the notable newcomers to 2011’s list, debuting at No. 15.
- Minka Kelly at 99?!
- Nearly half of the honorees this year are new.
